Cheer up your friends and family with this free service that enables you to send a message to them during their stay at CJW Medical Center - what a great pick-me-up!
Please review the following important information...
- Delivery Schedule: Messages to patients will be delivered once each business day. Any messages received after the daily delivery will be delivered the next business day. E-mail received over the weekend will be delivered the following Monday morning. Delivery of e-mail may be delayed during holidays. You may contact the hospitals main switchboard at (804) 320-9111 (Chippenham Campus) or (804) 330-2000 (Johnston-Willis Campus) to speak with a patient. We regret that we cannot offer direct response to your e-mail from the patient at this time. CJW Medical Center does not assume responsibility for the delivery of messages sent to patients who have already been discharged.
- Message Content: Our Patient E-mail Service is designed for get well/congratulatory wishes only. Any other types of communication (i.e. e-mail conducting personal business, containing questionable content or business/vendor solicitations) will not be delivered. CJW Medical Center reserves the right to delete incoming mail deemed inappropriate or detrimental to our patients. CJW Medical Center assumes no liability whatsoever for e-mail and the contents of messages sent to patients.
- Patient Confidentiality: Please be aware that CJW Medical Center staff and/or volunteers will need to read your message to confirm the recipients identity. Do not include any sensitive information: treat your e-mail like a postcard or greeting card. To observe patient confidentiality, CJW Medical Center cannot verify delivery of e-mail messages. Information collected in our Patient E-mail Service will not be used for marketing or any other purpose other than the delivery of messages to patients at our hospitals.
