Four convenient locations

We have an outdoor assessment field used for testing athletes in simulated game conditions with dedicated areas for soccer, basketball, tennis, track, plus a pitcher's mound and back stop. CJW Sports Medicine Commonwealth offers certified physical therapy incorporating Pilates in treatment.

We've been serving area high school, collegiate and professional sports teams since 1988. Chesterfield County Schools, the Washington Redskins and the Richmond Kickers are organizations with whom we have partnerships to provide many sports medicine services.

Our two renowned sports medicine physicians, Dr. Doug Cutter and Dr. Katherine Dec, have decades of international experience, and they, along with our newest physician, Dr. Larry L. Benson, help athletes overcome old injuries, prevent new ones and help them compete at their personal best. We also have the assessment field with physicians and athletic trainers who evaluate athletes in action.

"Comeback Athlete of the Year" Scholarship

Each year, CJW Medical Center and the Richmond Times-Dispatch offer a scholarship recognizing high school seniors from Central Virginia who have bounced back from a serious injury to successfully return to competition. Applications for the scholarship are now available online!
